Re: Latest news

CRM Together - We have finished our webinar schedule for this year but we did record a few of them and they are now available on the website. Just click on the "video" links to see them. We have a new release of Accelerator for Sage CRM next week. This release has some speed improvements including a new "minimal" mode that reduces the web service calls and this was done for people who are running slow internet connections. There will also be 2 new pages that will feature google maps integration and this displays all companies that are within the same or similar postcodes. This is an ideal function for planning sales trips. The other pages will give a visual 360 degree view of company and this is built using the zed graph utility. This allows you at a glance to see what interactions you have had with a company.
Speaking of sales trips, Myself and Majella (Business Development Manager) will be in London for a few meetings with Sage Partners from the 8th-11th December. If you are around and fancy meeting up just let me know.
Files Together - Development continues apace on version 2 and we are targeting January 2010 for that release.

The Palm Pre..review

I just got my hands on a Palm Pre...very impressive device. Much as I liked the iphone I always thought it too big and the limitation of only being able to run one app at a time was the killer for me. The pre however is a very slick device running multiple apps and it fits very nicely into your hand and is very intuitive to use. Lots of thought has gone into this.
I've had smart phones before and I have always given up on them for either being clunky, too big, slow etc so lets see how it fairs in action over the next few weeks.

Files Together Updates

We're in the process of updating the Files Together web site (www.filestogether.com) and also the software. We'll now have 2 flavours of the software...one will look the same as the old version (accessing data only on the same server) but will have a mega number of updates (inc security, plugins etc) and the other will be API based.
The API based version will allow FT be used as a cloud storage proxy device allowing files to be stored on FTP servers, databases, Google Docs, Amazon...(or any storage system) and accessed via an interface (web-based, desktop based, mobile based or any that can be coded). More details to follow as we get the releases out there.

New Titan and Accelerator Releases for Sage CRM

A new minor release of Titan and Accelerator is now available for Sage CRM 6.2 at www.crmtogether.com. The updates are fixes to the installation (the correct application pool is set, a change in Sage CRM 6.2) and the correct .net framework (2.0) is set (these can be set manually in IIS).
In the Titan portal demo we removed the "Newsletter" link due to the bug introduced in sage CRM 6.2 (see our previous post on this below).
